Hydraulic Pump & Motor Repair

Diagnosis and repair for gear, vane, and piston pumps and motors — flow-tested reasoning, not parts-cannon guessing.

Hydraulic Pump & Motor Repair

Scope

What's included.

  • Failure diagnosis: pressure, flow, case-drain, and contamination checks
  • Gear pump and motor reseal and rebuild
  • Vane and piston unit repair or exchange sourcing
  • System contamination assessment after a failure
  • Replacement matching for obsolete or import units

Process

How it goes.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We test before we tear down — half the 'bad pumps' we see are relief valves, couplings, or starved inlets.

  2. 02

    Rebuild or source

Economical rebuilds done in-house; otherwise we match a replacement, including metric-shaft import units.

  3. 03

    Protect

We flush recommendations and filtration advice so the new unit doesn't eat the last failure's debris.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my hydraulic pump noisy?

The usual causes are cavitation (starved inlet), aeration (suction leak), or worn internals. Noise plus heat plus slow actuators usually means wear; we can test it.

Can you repair import or metric pumps?

Yes — metric shafts, BSP and metric ports, and DIN mounts are everyday work for us, and we stock the adapters to install them cleanly.

Rebuild or replace a hydraulic pump — which is cheaper?

Gear units are often cheaper to replace; piston units usually justify rebuilding. We quote both with real numbers so you can decide.

What killed my pump?

Contamination, heat, or cavitation cause most failures. We inspect the wear pattern and tell you the likely root cause so the replacement lasts.
